Watching the advertising and media coverage of this year's crop of
political candidates, one is tempted to ask, "are these the best that
our nation has to offer?"

Next friday, November 10th, we of the Ninja Skillz collective intend to
prove otherwise. We seek a true representative sampling of this nation's
best and brightest. Individuals of honor, integrity, creativity and
blatant nonconformity. In other words, YOU.

But first things first. On November 7th it is *imperative* that you drag
yourself to the polls and pull that lever, punch that chad, ink that
bubble, or do whatever the hell you're supposed to do on those Diebold
machines. Then prepare to wash your hands thoroughly of the matter and
let your voice be heard through music and dance. No matter how it turns
out. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum. Whether you
feel that voting is your sacred birthright or a purely symbolic
substitute for true democracy, we will all have a reason to come
together next weekend and share in the moment.

We may want to celebrate or we may want to commiserate. We might use our
time to reconcile with sworn political enemies or just to relieve a
diaper-load of electoral stress. Either way, we hope you'll come join us

It's the one time of year where it is actually EXPECTED for you to eat yourself into a coma. I plan on doing just that. However, on the sunday following the giving of thanks I will be joining our red headed step brothers at POCKET for a little night of shinanigans and shaking the stuffing right out of ya. The cold night air was crisp with a breath of winter and a hint of change as a court mystic paced the halls of a palace outside of Bejing. It was the twilight hours of the Ming Dynasty and the only comfort for the mystic's troubled mind came in the form of sputtering torches that cast ghostly shadows across the stones of the hall. Who was this ninja council? What did they hope to gain from opposing the imperial regime? Who were they to think they could effect change? Lost in his brooding, he almost failed to notice... a movement... a slight shift in the shadows. His eyes darted to the source of the movement just in time to see an arrow flew past his head to implant itself in the wall. Startled at first, he realized that the arrow had intentionally missed and carried with it a message. Curiosity overcame fear as he removed the parchment and snapped it open. His concern was valid. The Ninja Council had moved on Bejing and taken over the Imperial Palace known as The Forbidden City. Drawing on their vast resources, the Ninjas planned to gather the finest musical mystics to open a portal to the future.
To someplace called Los Angeles.
